Workshops provide a forum for organizations to receive training on a variety of areas that include but are not limited to racial trauma, healing racial trauma, cultural competence, understanding racial inequities, bias and navigating conflict related to difficult issues. Additionally, training addresses the importance of being culturally informed when working with diverse populations. The workshops create space and opportunity to gain new insight and process as a group.

As dental professionals this past year has tested our education, mindset, and critical thinking skills. Leadership skills and  self-reflection has never been important as they are right now.   Healthcare leaders are rising above as the COVID-19 dust settles as we look to the horizon of what is next.  We need to be innovative, have hope, and move forward together for our patients, peers, and family. In this interactive course, we will discuss tools that will help you on your leadership journey whether in your home, community, church, work setting, or ADHA in the local, state or national setting.

 

Objectives:

  •       Effective communication strategies-how to give and receive feedback.

  •       Emotional intelligence- changing your thoughts to achieve results

  •       Perform self- evaluations to help your develop your leadership style

  •       Taking your leadership journey to the next level

All day: Including both CEU’s and lunch

CANCELLATION POLICY:

 

Cancellation requests need to be submitted in writing via email or postal mail. All requests must include a reason for cancellation by July 5, 2021.  A $40.00 administrative fee will be applied.  No refunds will be accepted or granted including absences due to illness, weather, late arrivals, parking difficulties, or other reasons. Refunds will not be processed for any requests received after July 5, 2021.
